John is a founder of Juice Associates and brings over twenty years' experience in the Telecoms Media & Technology sector, building expertise in all elements of the Business mix and an understanding of customers, markets and the way companies work.
John has been instrumental in building four Internet businesses. First as Marketing Director of an ISP start-up in 1995 with Planet Internet, achieving a rapid six-week start-up. Then, after Planet Internet was acquired by AT&T, John took Cable Internet, Telewest's ISP, from a minimal base to a top 12 ranking by size and top three position in the quality league in 9 months. He moved into IT professional services with Compaq, taking the UK Internet Outsourcing practice from start-up to an £8m pa business in twelve months, and latterly achieved a record Broadvision start-up when launching Equire, the e-Commerce partner for Luxury brands, as Managing Director in November 1999.
Before establishing Juice Associates, John was a board member of ECET International, a Cisco-funded communications software company, where he transformed ECET into a customer-centric, agile organisation, providing new direction for the core product developments, and signing sales and marketing contracts with Cisco and Accenture with annual, pre-product release revenue exceeding 5m dollars.
In his early career, John had a twelve-year spell with BT during which he carried out assignments in retail, customer services and international product management. His final role involved launching BT into the entertainment and multimedia sectors, managing the specification and marketing launches of BT's early multimedia services including BT's satellite receiver offering, BT Interactive TV, BT Internet, Wireplay and Mondex.
